Lindy Spider Rigs - Sliced bread for anglers

Brainerd, Minn. - Spend time in crappie fishing circles and you are sure to hear the curious term "spider rigging," the effective technique of spreading as many as a dozen rods across the bow to cut a very wide trolling path.  While some anglers will spider rig jigs or even crankbaits, it's most often accomplished with live-bait rigs and minnows. With this many lines in the water, snags and broken lines are a given.  This has long been the problem facing spider riggers - they spend hours at night tying spider rigs only to lose half of them the next day. Enter Lindy Legendary Fishing Tackle and the first pre-tied Spider Rig. Anglers can now purchase enough pre-tied rigs to replace broken lines all day long, and the premium construction of these rigs reduces the number of broken lines. The rigs are made of the highest quality components (Silver Thread line, premium cross-line swivels, and Gold Aberdeen hooks) so fishermen can be confident they will get the job done.
Spider Rig

"For centuries people bought bread and sliced it themselves," said noted crappie expert Todd Huckabee. "One day they started buying sliced bread because it was available, and continued to do so because it was consistent and it was good. The same goes here."
Spider Rigs have been a popular item for years, but haven't been available commercially until now. Every component is reliable, right down to the knots, and each rig is the same - a very important issue when the bite is on.

Still, why buy pre-rigged when you can tie them yourself? "If you are really fast and can tie good knots, you save about four dollars an hour by tying the rigs yourself," Huckabee says, "Four bucks an hour! If I told you I would clean your boat for four dollars an hour, would you pay me to do it? Absolutely."
Spider Rigging

In addition to the standard Spider Rig, Lindy also announces the Flicker Rig, which takes the proven design of the spider rig and adds a spinner blade for added flash and vibration. Both the Spider Rig and the Flicker Rig come out of the package ready to use and are available at retailers across the country.
