Angler Young Angler Announces a Successful AYA Fund Raising Banquet in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Steinbach, MB Canada, March 17, 2009: We are very pleased and excited to report that the first annual Angler Young Angler Fund Raising Banquet in Minneapolis was a success. Scheduled on Saturday, March 14th during the Northwest Sportshow, the event included an evening of hordeuvres, cocktails, beautiful live piano music, incredible auction items and a presentation to update the crowd of the development of the AYA program.

There are many organizations and individuals that stepped up and supported the event including but not limited to, Brunswick Corporation, Lund Boat Company, Al Lindner & Angling Edge, Mr. Walleye - Gary Roach, Ray's Sport & Marine, Mercury, MotorGuide, North American Fisherman, Gemini Sport Marketing, Ryjus, Witch Bay Resort to name a very few.
The auction items were astounding! A guided fishing trip for with Legendary Al Lindner, as well as trips with the following angling superstars: Gary Roach, Tom Backer, Tom Neustrom, John McLaughlin, Kenny Olson, Dean Higgins, Sean Colter and Craig Stapon! A 5 day trip to Witch Bay Camp Resort on Lake of the Woods, Canada with Pro - Perry Good including all food and a boat was one of the highlighted items of the evening. An 1825 Lund Rebel XL Sport, Mercury 75 o/b and Shoreland'r trailer were auctioned off for a great price along with a Brunswick pool table, and air hockey table and a Honda 420 four wheeler.
The event took place at the Minneapolis Convention Center where the Northwest Sportshow was held. The Northwest Sportshow and NMMA supported the AYA Fund Raising Event by providing complimentary show tickets to all those who purchased an AYA Banquet ticket - Thank You!!

We are pleased to announce that we raised just shy of $10,000 to help manage the extraordinary development of the AYA program across North America which continues to introduce families to the sport of competitive fishing.
A big 'Thank You' to the AYA Banquet Committee members: Andrew Klopak, Kenny Olson, Leslie Brightwell, Sean Colter, Perry Good, Tom Backer, Scott Petersen, & Michelle Trudeau. A few more special acknowledgments to our friends who supported the event - Scott & Marty Glorvigen, Jason Gauthier, Ross Reynolds, Darrin Bohonis, Susan MacPhail & T.J. DeVoe as well as to all the volunteers who helped out throughout the day.
The feedback has been all very positive and we are very excited to begin plans for next year!
