NPAA Appoints New Board Member
John Butts #251NPAA member/supporter,John Butts #251 from Dryden, Ontario recently accepted a three year board position with the National Professional Anglers Association, bringing several years of sales experience and industry knowledge to the NPAA.
Butts, National Marketing Director for Fin-tech Tackle Company in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, has been fishing competitively for 17 years. His broad knowledge of the fishing industry in Canada and the United States will bring understanding of and experience with the industry to the NPAA Board of Directors. As a competitor in the In-Fisherman's PWT events and many local events throughout Canada, Butts identified the need to belong to an organization that brought promotional anglers together.
"With the help of fellow anglers, I learned quickly that the key to supporting my tournament fishing was to be a good promoter and I was excited that my fishing passion created a career for me in the fishing industry. I look forward to serving on the NPAA Board of Directors."
Supporting Partner Fin-tech Tackle is a relatively new tackle manufacturer that sells a broad selection of jigs, rigs, and terminal tackle. Fin-tech is growing rapidly as they continue to develop new and exciting fish catching systems that work on a variety of freshwater and saltwater species.Butts will replace past board member, Tom Backer #33 from Fargo, ND, who served a three year term with the NPAA. Tom has indicated that he will continue to volunteer for future NPAA projects and he will continue to fish competitively. We all appreciate Mr. Backer's service to the NPAA.
